Carl Bacon CIPM, founded Otos Ltd in April 2000. Otos Ltd provides advice to asset managers on various risk and performance measurement issues.
Carl was Chairman of StatPro Plc from 2000 to 2017 and prior to that Director of Risk Control and Performance at Foreign & Colonial Management Ltd, Vice President Head of Performance (Europe) for JP Morgan Investment Management Inc., and Head of Performance for Royal Insurance Asset Management.

Carl holds a B.Sc. Hons. in Mathematics from Manchester University and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Measurement. A founder member of both the Investment Performance Council and GIPS®, Carl is chair of the GIS Committee and ex-chair of the GIPS Executive Committee, and ex-chair of both the Verification and Interpretation Sub-Committees, and founder of "The Freedom Index Company".

Carl is also the author of “Practical Portfolio Performance Measurement & Attribution” part of the Wiley Finance Series, "Practical Risk-adjusted Performance Measurement", numerous articles and papers and editor of “Advanced Portfolio Attribution Analysis”.

Amy Jones, CIPM is one of the industry’s leading experts on the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®). Working with investment advisers for over 18 years, Amy has extensive experience interpreting and applying the GIPS standards and SEC Marketing Rule to almost any situation. She has consulted with advisers of varying sizes and complexities, from single owner advisory firm to firms with over $600 billion under management.
 
Amy works with advisory firms to achieve and maintain ongoing compliance with the GIPS standards and review performance advertisements. In addition, she understands the compliance burden that investment advisers are under as she has also worked extensively with advisers to create policy & procedure manuals compliant with SEC Rule 206(4)-7, drafted Form ADV disclosures, and conducted compliance reviews and audits for firms located throughout the country. Prior to working as a compliance consultant, Amy was a manager at an accounting firm that specialized in GIPS verification services, where she conducted and oversaw hundreds of GIPS verification projects for advisory firms across the country of all sizes and levels of complexity.
Amy is a member of the CFA Institute GIPS Standards Promotion Subcommittee which is tasked to engage with GIPS Standards Sponsors on outreach activities and increase promotion and adoption of the GIPS standards. Amy is former Chair of the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC), the official local sponsoring organization for the GIPS standards in the United States. Amy graduated from Southern Oregon University with a BS in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting. She holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), is a member of the CIPM Association and the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP). She is also a frequent conference speaker and author on topics related to performance advertising compliance and performance measurement.

Arin Stancil, CFA, CIPM is a Managing Director and Principal at Guardian Performance Solutions LLC (GPS), a specialty compliance consulting firm established to help investment managers to comply with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®). Arin has been working with the GIPS standards for over 20 years and has extensive experience interpreting and applying them to almost any situation.
 
Prior to joining GPS, Arin served as a Vice President and GIPS Compliance Manager for a global investment adviser with over $2 trillion in assets under management, where he was responsible for maintaining the firm’s ongoing compliance with the GIPS standards. Previously, he was a partner at an accounting firm that specialized in GIPS compliance consultation and verification services, where he conducted and oversaw hundreds of GIPS compliance verification projects for firms around the world of all sizes and levels of complexity.
 
Arin is currently a member of the GIPS Standards Technical Committee (TC), a volunteer committee established by CFA Institute. The purpose of the TC includes providing technical oversight of the GIPS standards and guiding the development and adoption of the GIPS standards. He is also a past member of the GIPS Standards Executive Committee (EC) and the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC). He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as well as the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM).

Ms. Richardson joined Madison Investments in September 2014 as a Performance Analyst.  She has been in the investment management industry for over 25 years in various positions in Operations and Trading.  She oversees the composite performance process at Madison and has been using Confluence StatPro & Revolution-I for over a year and a half.

Dena Hopkins, CIPM is a Senior Analytics Consultant at Confluence and has 31 years of experience in the financial industry. Previously, Dena worked for Frank Russell Company, Russell/Mellon, Mellon Analytical Solution, and BNY/Mellon where she worked her way up from Operations to Client Service to Relationship Management. During her time at Russell she was involved in multiple implementations of their Performance and Attribution software.

She has been involved in numerous GIPS implementations since joining Confluence in 2008 and continues to support the North American client base. Dena holds a CIPM designation.

Hans Groetsch, CIPM, CEFA, joined Confluence in 2000 as a founding member of the German StatPro office in Frankfurt. He previously worked as Head of Performance Measurement for Credit Suisse Asset Management Germany in charge of Client Reporting, Management Reporting, Performance Measurement and Performance Attribution, regional website creation and maintenance.
Hans is a GIPS® and Product Consultant in Confluence, and Product Manager for Composites, supporting clients all over the world.
